Assessment report
The research on the Applications of Renewable Energy (RE) and Energy Efficiency (EE) for Rural Water Supplies, conducted from March – July 2023, is part of a five-year partnership between the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and UNICEF that is exploring the application of RE and EE for rural water supplies in Viet Nam. The study aimed at the current status and potential of EE-RE solutions for rural water systems to promote the use of clean energy and reduce clean water production costs in rural areas. The findings will also underpin the development of EE-RE guidelines for rural water projects.
