The National Award of Industrial Energy Efficiency Award in 2017 is the Energy Saving Competition that was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in cooperation with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ – German International Cooperation Organization).
At the moment, the level of energy waste in industrial production in Vietnam is quite large. Surveys show that the potential for energy savings in industry is estimated in between 20-30%. Costs for production increased with the reduction of product competitiveness in the industrial production. One of the most effective ways for enterprise to keep their production costs low and to survive in a global competitive environment is to apply higher energy efficiency technologies and implementing energy efficiency measures for the whole production line.
The competition is organized to raise awareness and responsibility of enterprise community nationwide for energy saving and efficiency. To promote and encourage enterprise community to apply energy-saving and efficient solutions in order to increase business efficiency and environmental friendliness; promote the brand to enter the competition, so that enterprises can enhance competitiveness in and outside of the country; Propagandizing and disseminating effective and economical solutions for energy conservation and efficiency across the country.
In order to promote the economical and efficient use of energy in industrial establishments towards sustainable development, Vietnam Energy Conservation and Efficiency Association (VECEA) collaborates with the Ministry Trade and Industry (MOIT), German International Cooperation Organization (GIZ) issued the “National Award of Industrial Energy Efficiency in 2017”
